My Story

Hi, I’m Amy Kerman-Gutzmer.

I created Everyday Yoga Escape as a gentle space for women who are overwhelmed, stressed, or carrying more than anyone realizes; a place where you can finally exhale and feel supported again.

For over 15 years, I’ve taught yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and energy-healing practices in the Chicago suburbs and beyond.
But what I do now goes deeper than teaching movement.

My work is about helping you:

  • calm your nervous system

  • feel safe in your own body

  • reconnect to your inner strength

  • soften the stress you’ve been holding

  • experience real moments of peace again

Alongside my teaching, I’ve spent more than a decade studying personal development, energy medicine, trauma-informed practices, and the mind-body connection. All of this blends into the gentle, compassionate way I teach - especially for beginners and anyone who finds traditional yoga spaces intimidating or overwhelming.

Everyday Yoga Escape began as a simple idea:to help people find their inner calm.

Today, it’s a sanctuary - in-person and online - where you can breathe easier, move gently, and feel supported from the inside out.
A place where your nervous system can finally settle.
A place where you don’t have to earn rest; you’re allowed to arrive exactly as you are.

I teach weekly classes, present at conferences and workshops, create guided meditations (featured on the AURA Meditation App), and offer simple tools to make life feel lighter and more manageable.

And because I know life is full, I created the Everyday Yoga Escape Online Studio: even five minutes of gentle movement or meditation can shift the course of your day  and I want you to have access to that escape whenever you need it.

Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to help you find your calm, your balance, and your inner resilience, one soft, supported step at a time.
